I had an absolutely wonderful time capturing maternity portraits of this gorgeous couple who are expecting their first baby!  We took a stroll around historical Sutter Street in Old Folsom which just so happens to be decorated beautifully for Christmas.  It was magical!
These two have decided to wait to find out the sex of their baby, and I am soooo excited to photograph them at the hospital once baby arrives.  Fresh 48 sessions are ALWAYS my favorites, because it is sooooo much fun to visit with families and experience the joy and excitement of new life being born.  One of the biggest perks of being a newborn photographer is getting to snuggle brand new babies on the regular.  I love seeing families interact with their brand new fresh from the womb babies, and I am particularly excited for this family’s upcoming Fresh 48 session because I can’t wait to find out if their baby is a boy or a girl.
What is a Fresh 48 Session you ask?  This is a session that takes place in the hospital within the first 48 hours of a baby’s life.  Take a look at these sessions to get an idea of what I’m talking about –
As a Sacramento/Roseville area maternity and newborn photographer, it brings me such delight to be able to capture this special and exciting time in a family’s life in portraits for them. When clients contact me asking to schedule a maternity session during the month of December, the first question I ask them is, “How do you feel about Christmas?”  I then cross my fingers and hope that they get as excited about playing with snow and/or Christmas light bokeh as I do.  Ashlee just so happens to love Christmas, and asked me to meet her in Old Folsom, where her and her husband shared their first date.  We took a stroll around quirky little Sutter Street, and I found all sorts of interesting spots to shoot.  Towards the end of our shoot, the sun went down and the beautiful Christmas lights turned on, and It was absolute perfection!
Ashlee arrived at her session in her first casual look that she brought from home, and then she also chose to wear one of my maternity gowns.  She selected a dark green gown with long sleeves made by Chicaboo Boutique.  I purchased this gown (As well as the 6 other of these beautiful dresses in various colors) on Black Friday, and I was so excited to get to use it for this shoot.  The shade of green was perfect for the holidays and I was so excited to see my vision come together perfectly.
Wishing a huge congratulations to this couple as they anticipate the arrival of their sweet baby. Thanks for the fun time!
