Jennifer & Darren’s Wedding | Sacramento Wedding Photographer
Jennifer and Darren chose to have their wedding on the one and only rainy day in September. You know what they say about rain on your wedding day? It makes for a good marriage. It’s harder to untie a wet knot than a dry one.
The couple chose Aston Lakeland Village in beautiful Lake Tahoe, for their wedding’s destination. They were only traveling from the Sacramento area, so it made the logistics easy.
I am in LOVE with all of the pretty details!
The night before the wedding, the groom surprised the bride with a special love note. As she went to put her shoes, she noticed the surprise and read his note. It was such a romantic and sweet moment!
While we were waiting for the ceremony to begin, the Maid of Honor shared some last minute advice with the bride.
Their ceremony was beautiful, full of sweet and personal details like this one:
They planned on holding the ceremony on the beach, but the resort staff was awesome and accommodated them with an indoor ceremony site with big windows that overlooked the lake.
It stopped raining for approximately 5 minutes, and I was thrilled! We ran out to the beach and I posed everyone on the dock with the breathtaking thunder clouds in the background.
It was FREEZING outside. Literally. I think it was something like 28 degrees out. And it was drizzling a bit, but it was so worth it. I’m really happy with how these images came out! Thank you, Jennifer and Darren for freezing your butts off for me!
After some pictures, everyone headed down the street to the reception at Chilis.
All the attention to details made the decor really beautiful!
This was such a fun party! And what a great group of people to work with.
