When I first met Charlie, years ago back in college, she was dating an awesome guy named Mike. Charlie and I hit it off the first day of dental assisting school. She is a super fun person to be around, and she made cleaning teeth and memorizing dental terms an exciting experience. =]
After several years of dating, Mike and Charlie have decided to tie the knot. I am so happy for them! They are such a good match, and truly in love. These two kept me laughing all day long as I photographed them.
It was Charlie’s idea to have her session at the GORGEOUS Empire Mine historic park. The Empire Mine is “one of the oldest, largest, deepest, longest and richest gold mines in California.” It is a popular wedding venue in Grass Valley, Ca. (Where the couple lives). This venue has acres of lush gardens and a picturesque stone cottage which make an incredible backdrop for photos. I am so happy that Charlie told me about this place! It felt like we were visiting a castle straight from a fairytale.
It’s so cool to be able to reconnect with old friends and document their big life moments. I feel so blessed to be able to call this my job!
Congratulations again, Mike and Charlie! May God bless you on this new and exciting journey in your lives.
I am so excited to see you at your wedding in September!!
